Just In Case

This product came to be during a family visit to our local diner. When our food arrived, our son took out his retainer and wrapped it in a napkin. As he did so, I reminded him to make sure he remembered to pick it up after dinner. He stated that there “should be a disposable wrapper or case that was brightly colored, so it didn’t blend in with the other napkins on the table.”

After food and conversation, it was time to leave. On the way home our son panicked realizing he left without his retainer. Fortunately, our daughter was waitressing that evening and, after a hurried phone call from us she was able to retrieve the retainer from the trash. We had to laugh at the irony because of our earlier conversation all in the same night.

I had the same thing happen to me at 13 years old that resulted in my father climbing into a restaurant dumpster!
